“The seed of Révélations has been planted in me since its first edition in Paris, in 2013, a date since which I have seen the content and ambition of this commercial, cultural and institutional platform grow and become unique and major for the fine craft sector.
Its DNA has always allowed us to think about international deployment. China was an obvious choice, both because of the undeniable anchoring of know-how in Chinese culture and daily life, and because it offers incredible opportunities for economic growth for craft studios in China and around the world. Its cultural heart, Beijing, will be the perfect host.
This type of fair, dedicated to the creative space between fine craft and contemporary art, has never before existed in China. In particular, Revelations China will provide Chinese artists of materiality with a new, hitherto non-existent space for expression and exchange.
In a more intimate setting than its Parisian sister, Revelations China targets 200 exceptional, innovative and sincere artists, sensitive bridges between a certain vision of tradition and unbridled artistic freedom.
